Route from Castelo de Vide to Barretos: 10 minutes (9.5 km)
As you enter Castelo de Vide on the N246-1 (pass the fire station “bombeiros”) at the second bend take the left fork along Rua Infantaria and Estrada da Circunvalação to circle the town and continue ahead along this small country road untill you reach Barretos. At the Junction turn right in the direction of Marvão, (Estrada Nacional) after 0.5 km turn left onto a cobbled road (R.da Ns. da Dores) Continue ahead until you reach a fork in the village and take the right fork along Rua do Fonte Velha, continue along this road untill you reach Casa do Brasão on your left. (You will see the name on the side of the cottage)
